AWWG announces strategic partnership with Metyis to boost eCommerce and digitalisation

Posted on July 1, 2021

AWWG, the global fashion group incorporating iconic brands Pepe Jeans, Hackett and Façonnable, announced today a new strategic alliance with global digital solutions firm Metyis.

The new partnership will center on enhancing and growing the digital side of the business, accelerating digital sales and ensuring a strong end-to-end business integration. Two main pillars will be built: Digital Commerce will further develop areas such as brand commerce, tech usability and CRM, while an innovative Digital Business Campus will focus on the smartification of the business via digital selling, data analytics, and product selling tools. The Digital Campus’ Hub will be based in AWWG’s Headquarters in Madrid and will have an extensive global footprint across all AWWG locations.

Reflecting on the alliance, Marcella Wartenbergh, CEO, AWWG said, “I’m very excited to be announcing this new partnership. I believe our two companies will complement each other most successfully, bringing a dynamic energy and a mutual understanding to enable growth, transformations, and the incorporation of tools that will grant our business a competitive advantage.”

Yogen Singh, Global Partner, Metyis added, “The foundation of our partnership is built on mutual trust and our common vision around what digitization can bring to our organisations and brands. It is not just about growing the top-line and the bottom-line, it is equally about creating the best omnichannel experience our consumers can have and also providing our people a place to learn from the experience and transformation. We are privileged and very excited to be announcing this great partnership with AWWG.”

This strategic alliance is part of AWWG’s commitment to digitalisation as a key factor for growth over the coming years, aiming to increase global net eCommerce sales significantly until the end of FY 23/24, reaching more than 100 million euros in net sales. It is also expected to seriously boost direct contribution.

As part of this strategic alliance, Metyis is currently providing expert advice in the roll-out of a Mobile-First platform for Pepe Jeans in India, which will be aligned with a global SFCC platform. The partnership is expected to help multiply growth in the market.
